Where Are You?

The following article appeared recently. A national survey of various churches revealed the following about church members:
10% could not be found
        20% never attended any assembly
25% admit that they never pray
35% admit they never study God’s word
70% never assume responsibility in work programs of the church
75% never win a soul to Christ
BUT….100% expect to go to heaven.

The above results from this survey does cause one to sit up and reflect on them. How can one expect to go to heaven and take the position indicated in this survey? According to Christ’s teachings in Matthew 7:21, only the doers of God’s will are going to heaven. In verses 21 to 23, it is evident that one must keep all, not just the smorgasbord approach of modern man. In James 2:22, it is pointed out that we are not to be just hearers of those commands, but we are to become doers of those things which we hear….that is, become practitioners of what it teaches.
